This shake is great if you are looking for a boost in both focus and energy because unlike coffee, which is a quick high, matcha provides a slower, more sustained release of energy. The EGCG in matcha is the centre of many studies which point towards matcha as a fat burner and a cancer fighter. It also is gentler on the body compared to caffeine from coffee so it is less disruptive to hormones and ideal if you are working to get your cortisol back in check.
