This protein shake tastes like key lime pie filling. The citrus makes it energizing and alkalizing and the avocado provides a dose of healthy fat, adding satiety and creaminess to the mix.

I use chlorophyll as green food colouring because it has zero of the chemicals and 100% more nutrition. Magnesium is found at the centre of the chlorophyll molecule and we are arguably all deficient due to our soil’s lack of micronutrients. Any time you can sneak in a little extra Mg, I highly recommend it. You need it for important things, like making adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy currency of your cells (told you it was important).
